Chad has been a nurse for 16 years and has been involved in emergency services for 28 years. His emphasis is in prehospital/emergency care, critical care and flight medicine. Chad has had a diverse career beginning in emergency services as a paramedic, then a flight respiratory therapist, and finally transitioning into nursing. He has enjoyed 23 years in flight medicine experiencing neonatal, pediatric and adult transports.
Chad is one of four original EMS faculty instructors added to The Difficult Airway Group under Dr. Walls/Dr. Murphy and he assisted in championing the Advance Practice Act for Respiratory Therapy in North Carolina. Chad has had the privilege of lecturing at AMTC, EMSI, The Society for Respiratory Care Conference, and many other venues across the country.
Chad's passion is airway education, and he has traveled across the country providing educational opportunities to a vast medical community. Any success that Chad has he attributes to two things: The Grace of God and the brilliant mentors who have pushed him, provided encouragement, reassurance, laughed and cried with him, and most importantly became his friends.
Chad and his 8 year-old son, Greyson, live in Dilltown, Pennsylvania with their two alpacas, Hazel and Mabe.
