This session will discuss a study that was designed to document the impact of the pandemic on pediatric and neonatal transport team members with a focus on staffing and resilience promotion strategies. The study came from a short cross-sectional survey distributed to members of the AAP Section on Transport Medicine and was published in 2023 in the Air Medical Journal

Discuss the national impact of the pandemic on this highly specialized niche workforce of pediatric-neonatal transport team staff.
Define and describe the extent of unfilled vacancies in this specialized workforce. List the strategies that the teams in the U.S utilize to identify burnout.
Describe the strategies that the pediatric-neonatal teams in the U.S utilize for retention.
