Jeff Schultz is a Chicago native and a former veteran firefighter/paramedic in the Chicago suburbs for 12 years. He received his paramedic from Loyola University Chicago Medical Center and his undergraduate degrees, in biology, EMS, and nursing, from Moraine Valley Community College and University of Illinois Chicago and his graduate degree from University of Maryland. He is currently pursuing an Executive MHA at University of Central Florida. He has a robust critical care background with over 20 years experience in nursing and EMS. including air medical transport and was an Assistant professor for DePaul University School of Nursing and published author. Jeff holds dual APRN licenses as both an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist. His clinical interests are critical care, cardiothoracic surgery, airway management, mechanical circulatory support (ECMO), pharmacology and hemodynamics. During his off time from ShandsCair he enjoys traveling and traveling and intensivist role in a cardiothoracic surgical ICU as an nurse practitioner.
