I began my EMS career in the late 1990s educating National Park Service personnel in a consortium of parks in Northern California and Southern Oregon. This rapidly morphed into becoming Medical Director for multiple ground agencies and ultimately Medical Director for PHI Air Medical in California. I have continued to work with multiple ground and air ambulance services for the last 25 years.
Over the years I have spoken at multiple national conferences, authored textbook chapters for EMS textbooks and continued to educate EMS professionals at all levels while practicing full time as an Emergency Physician.
I am currently the Medical Director for Clinical Standards for PHI Air Medical, the Medical Director for Benefis Mercy Flight in Great Falls, Montana and the Medical Advisor for the Northern Division of the National Ski Patrol. I sit on the medical advisory board for the National Ski Patrol and am a Board Member of the Air Medical Physicians Association
