MCS patients present unique challenges especially in the transport environment. What principles govern the MCS circulation? What tools can we use to stabilize the MCS patient in a resource-limited setting? Join this session to learn the answers to these questions and more!

  • Describe the anatomy of the VA and VV ECMO circulations
  • Describe basic strategies to stabilize the circulation of the ECMO patient
  • Define principles of ventilator management in ECMO patients
