You won’t want to miss this interactive, hands-on dissection lab filled with numerous critical care procedures to preform. Review the pathophysiology of the trauma Killers. During this hands-on dissection lab the participant will gain a better understanding of anatomy and physiology using discarded hog heart and lungs.

Learning Objectives:

Identify important concepts regarding differences in adult and pediatric airway structures and apply these concepts to assessment and management
Identify respiratory and cardiovascular anatomy concepts that are critical to apply to patient assessment and management of the critical care patient
Demonstrate the following critical care skills necessary in the care of the critical care and unstable patient: a. Endotracheal intubation b. Needle Decompression d. Surgical cricothyrotomy e. Pericardiocentesis
